About us

The spaces to promote, to distribute and to exhibit the films that interest us will never be sufficient. Int13Cine is a new label moved by the promotion of personal cinema, with emphasis in films that have fed on essential ways the Iberoamerican audio-visual imaginary; in the world of independent cinema, our territories occupy a crucial spot.

Copacabana, piece immersed between fiction and documentary, opens the catalogue of Int13Cine with its release in Mexico in the month of December 2008. His author, Martin Rejtman, head of the so-called New Argentine Cinema with Rapado, Silvia Prieto and The Magic Gloves, gives light to the path that Int13Cine will follow in its mission to accommodate marginal expressions in the collective glance.

Int13Cine acts as an audio-visual promotion centre. Each title of the catalogue feeds a publishing and educational project. We will edit DVDs of the films, as well as publications related to the analysis, the Critic and the audio-visual appreciation.

Vitally important is our program of Artistic Residences aimed towards specific filmmakers, first of which will be dedicated to French director Philippe Grandrieux in the month of April 2009. Through these Residences filmmakers will be able to pursue their projects while they share their works by screenings and master classes programmed in the most important forums of Mexico City.

We will also offer academic events that attract the public towards the re-signification of cinematographic language and new forms to see films.
